Meta provides two distinct URL structures for WhatsApp Business accounts utilizing the catalog feature:

• Catalog Links (wa.me/c/number): This link opens your entire storefront inside the WhatsApp app. It is ideal for general brand awareness campaigns or bio links on Instagram.
• Product Links (wa.me/p/id/number): This is the holy grail for conversion rate optimization. This link completely bypasses the chat greeting and drops the user onto the specific Product Display Page (PDP) inside WhatsApp, where they can immediately click "Add to Cart".

How to find your Product ID

The Product ID is a unique numerical string generated by Meta when you upload an item to your Commerce Manager. Finding it requires a specific process:

1. Log into your Meta Commerce Manager via Facebook Business Suite.
2. Navigate to your Catalog > Items.
3. Click on the specific product you want to advertise.
4. Look at the URL in your browser bar, or find the "Content ID" field in the product details. It is usually a 15-16 digit number.
5. Alternatively, open your WhatsApp Business app on your phone, navigate to your catalog, share the item via a link, and copy the numeric ID found at the end of that shortlink.
